ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Oologah Public Schools’ Athletic Department to help all student-athletes become stronger academically, athletically and socially. The athletic faculty is committed to working with athletes to help them better understand the importance of dedication, work ethic and cooperation. The faculty will also encourage a family atmosphere that embraces diversity. It is the desire of the faculty to always provide a safe and competitive environment. The Oologah Athletic Department goal is that all athletes become productive citizens while learning to compete at the highest level.
Oologah High School is a member of the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA). OHS competes at the 4A and 5A level in various interscholastic sports.
OHS offers 13 athletic programs including 7 that are dual gender, for a total of 20 sport programs:
Boys may participate in Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Soccer, Swimming, Track, Tennis and Wrestling.
Girls may participate in Basketball, Cheer, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Track, Tennis, and Volleyball.
All of the sports include various levels of play, such as Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshmen teams.
The athletic department is a member of the Verdigris Valley Conference which is comprised of 10 schools that form two divisions. There is a North division and a South division. Oologah will compete in the North Division.

PHYSICAL/PARENT NIGHT WILL BE THURSDAY, MAY 19TH AT 6:30PM. PHYSICALS WILL BE DONE BY EOOC AND THE COST IS $20.00. PARENTS WILL MEET IN THE AUDITORIUM FOR A SHORT PRESENTATION ON RANKONE SPORT. COMPUTERS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE FOR THOSE THAT DO NOT HAVE THEM. ALL PARENTS OF STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN ATHLETICS, GRADES 7-12, FOR THE 2016-17 SCHOOL YEAR MUST ATTEND THIS MEETING.
