The Oologah-Talala Public School District’s Blended Learning Initiative promotes and encourages the student use of personal electronic devices for educational purposes. Every student from Pre-K to 12th grades will receive a device to use during and after school hours depending on grade and if distance learning plans have been instituted during the 2020-2021 school year.
OTPS believes in preparing students to be digitally literate with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Using Google Classroom / Google Suite along with other digital curriculum applications, students will be able to develop these skills in the classroom and practice those skills in the home. Parents who choose to participate in the OTPS User Technology Fee Program:
· Must pay a non-refundable fee each year. This fee does not cover damages caused by the neglect by the student.
o Grades 6th-12th
§ $35 for 1st Student in household or $25 for Free/Reduced Lunch Status per year
§ $25 for each additional student in household regardless of Lunch Status per year
o Grades PreK – 5th
§ $20 for 1st Student in household or $10 for Free/Reduced Lunch Status per year
§ $10 for each additional student in household regardless of Lunch Status per year
