Kendra Adkins

We are pleased to introduce Kendra Adkins as the new Assistant Superintendent of Oologah-Talala Public Schools!  Mrs. Adkins is beginning her 18th year in public education.  Mrs. Adkins is also a lifelong Mustang who attended Oologah from kindergarten through graduation!  She began her career in education in Nowata, working as an English teacher for two years. Throughout her 15 years in Oologah she has served as a middle school English Language Arts teacher, the Special Services Director, and most recently the Oologah Upper Elementary Principal.  She is married to Schuyler, who is the principal of Westside Elementary in Claremore.  She also has two children, Grayson and Madeline, both of whom attend OTPS.

“Being able to serve in any capacity within Oologah-Talala Public Schools is truly the honor of my lifetime.  This school has meant so much to me for more than three decades, and my personal journey has been deeply impacted by the amazing educators I had in school.  I hope to be able to use this role of Assistant Superintendent as a platform to continue supporting our students, teachers, and administrators.  I am also looking forward to working alongside Dr. Wilkins to ensure that the kids of OTPS receive the most comprehensive and child-focused education anywhere in the state!  There are so many incredible things happening across the Oologah campuses, and I truly believe the best is yet to come!”
