The Oologah "Stallion Battalion" competed Tuesday 10/19 at the OSSAA NE Regional marching contest and earned SUPERIOR ratings from all three judges. This is the first piece to the OSSAA Sweepstakes award for band. If the band makes Superior ratings at district concert & sightreading as well as state concert & sightreading in March they will earn the coveted OSSAA Sweepstakes award. If the Oologah Jazz Band also receives a superior rating at State Jazz contest in April then they will earn the OSSAA Sweepstakes Accent award. I am very proud of our band students and we will do our best to work towards these lofty goals!
