Oologah Jazz Band students recently auditioned for the OKMEA All State Jazz Ensemble on Nov. 19th. We had 4 Oologah Jazz students earn placement in the 20 piece group. They will participate in a clinic and concert at the Oklahoma Music Educators Conference on January 19,20, and 21st. at the Hyatt Regency in Tulsa. They will study with Mike Steinel, retired jazz trumpet instructor from the University of North Texas. The Oologah Jazz Ensemble is a featured honor group at the convention as well. They will perform at 7PM January 19th at the Cox Business Center.
