OUE Parents, Thank you for such for such an amazing first day! I am proud to say that we had our car line done and all students in class by 8:05…quite an accomplishment for the first day! As a reminder, we will start dismissing car riders at 2:50 today. We do not allow parents to walk up and get their students. You will need to stay in the car line with your car tag in the front passenger side of your vehicle. If you do not have a car tag, we will be asking to see your ID. The line will probably be longer today, as many parents will be picking up their students, but it will be shorter tomorrow! Thank you advance for your patience and understanding! Good morning, OUE Parents! I have just a few pieces of information for you for the first day of school. Wednesday will be here before we know it!
1. The doors to our building open at 7:15 for students who need to eat breakfast. Students who do not need to eat are encouraged to arrive closer to 7:45. Bus riders can eat as soon as they arrive!
2. Class begins promptly at 8:00 each day.
3. Parents will not be allowed in the building on the first day, so please just drop your student off at the front door. We will have plenty of adults inside to help them find their way!
4. Don’t forget that they will need a water bottle and masks are recommended!
We can't wait to welcome your child back to a wonderful year of school! As always, if you need anything or have any questions, please let us know!
Don’t forget about Meet the Teacher Night tomorrow from 6:00-8:00! You can meet your child’s teacher and drop off their school supplies! We will also have T-shirts and yearbooks for sale. We hope to see all our friends tomorrow evening!
OUE Parents - at this point, we have over 130 students who have NOT completed their online enrollment. These students will not be on a class list this afternoon unless enrollment is confirmed. I have heard from a few parents that they filled out the form, but their enrollment is not showing as complete. If you did not receive a confirmation text or email, you are not finished with the process (you may have missed a form, not included your proof of residency, etc.). If you are concerned about your enrollment, please contact our office as soon as possible at (918) 443-6000, ext. 6041.

Tomorrow is the first day of Teacher Appreciation Week, and our theme is Hawaiian! Let's see those Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts, and leis! Please find time this week to let your student's teacher how much you appreciate all their hard work and dedication. This has been such an unusual and challenging year for teachers, but the educators of OUE have shown themselves to be resilient, creative, and innovative! Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
5th Grade Parents - just a reminder that we are holding our annual puberty education classes tomorrow. The girls' class will be at 1:00 and the boys' class will be at 1:50. All students will participate in this class unless we have received a signed opt-out letter from a parent or guardian.
