Enrollment opens for Pre-K on April 9, and all other new or returning students may enroll beginning April 16. As a reminder, proof of residency must be provided for each student during the enrollment process. Happy Friday Mustang family! This is a friendly reminder the we are on Spring Break next week. Students will return to class on Monday, March 25. Also, we will be in school on April 12, April 19, and May 3 to make up for snow days. At this time, we are still out of school on May 10. Have a wonderful Spring Break!
OLE Pickle & Popcorn Day will be Wednesday, March 27, 2024. This will only allow two days to purchase items. We hope everyone has a fantastic Spring Break and as always thank you for your support!
OLE Annual BINGO will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024, in the Upper Elementary Storm Shelter/Cafeteria. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Raffle tickets for the themed tables and concession stand will be available. BINGO cards are $5 a card. We are looking forward to seeing each of you there!
Happy Valentine’s Day! We are accepting ALL OLE Valentine deliveries in the OLE Storm Shelter. Please make sure that each delivery has the student’s first and last name, teacher’s name, and grade level on the tag. We have volunteers stationed at the storm shelter door to accept the deliveries.
Balloons, glass, and large Valentine's gifts will not be allowed on the school bus. Please make arrangements for them to be picked up from the building.
PreK party will be from 1:30-2:00 p.m. and K-2nd parties will be from 1:45-2:15 p.m. We will have staff available at the front door for parents to sign in before student parties. Sign-out sheets will be in your teacher's classroom.
Valentine’s Day deliveries for students at OLE will be accepted at the Oologah Lower Elementary Storm Shelter door. We will have helpers to accept them at the door of the shelter. Please make sure deliveries include the Student's First and Last Name, Grade, and Teacher’s Name. All deliveries need to arrive by 1:00 p.m. Just as a reminder balloons, glass, and large Valentine gifts cannot be sent home on the bus. Please make arrangements to pick these items up on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Thank you for your help in making this a sweet day for our OLE students.
OLE will host Valentine’s Day parties on Wednesday, February 14th (PreK at 1:30 p.m. and K-2nd at 1:45 p.m.). Due to limited space for students to participate in the fun activities that teachers have planned, there is a limit on how many people can attend with each student. No parking is allowed in the bus or car loop. Parking is available in front of the lower gym and across from the Lower Elementary. Please remember that balloons, glass, and large items (containers, stuffed animals, etc.) cannot be taken home on the bus. Please make arrangements to pick these items up from the school.
OTPS will have a Distance Learning Day Wednesday, January 17, 2024, due to inclement weather. Your child should have a distance learning packet in their folder to complete and return to the classroom teacher when we return to school. This will need to be completed in order to be counted in attendance. Your child’s teacher will communicate through Remind with any additional information.
Good evening, Mustangs! As you know, there is some unpredictable weather coming our way for the next few days! I want to assure you that we are diligently following weather reports and will update families as soon as we possibly can if school needs to be called off. If school is closed, we will send a text message to all families through our messaging system, and we will update our school social media and website. We will also notify area television stations. OLE has shifted to sending out automated attendance notifications. Parents who have notified our office and/or provided a doctor's note, this is a courtesy call to keep you informed of the total number of days out for this school year.

Remote Learning Day-Friday, November 17, 2023
As a reminder, teachers will send home assignments on Thursday. When students return to school after Thanksgiving Break, the completed assignments will be used to count attendance on our Remote Learning Day. We hope all of our Mustang families have an enjoyable and safe Thanksgiving!
Veterans Day Assembly: OLE and OUE are proud to honor our heroes and pay tribute to our Veterans on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in the Oologah-Talala High School Auditorium. All local Veterans and their families are invited and welcome to attend.
We are excited to announce that the OLE Veterans Day Celebration will be performed by the 2nd grade and will be held November 9, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the OLE gymnasium.
OLE Literacy Night event will be held indoors at the Lower Elementary from 5:00-6:30 p.m. tonight! This will be your final opportunity to shop the book fair from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
OLE will host our Annual Literacy Night on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Anyone interested in donating individually wrapped candy can drop it off at the Lower Elementary office.
New this year! OLE will be sending report cards home in a digital format. Please make sure that your email in our parent portal is correct. On October 26, 2023, you will receive an email with a pdf version of your child's report card for the first nine weeks. You will also be able to access the report card in the parent portal.

Oologah Lower Elementary recently discovered a controlled case of bed bugs. Our school has partnered with health officials, a licensed pest management company, and law enforcement to put into place the proper procedures to care for all parties involved. Even prior to this concern, our maintenance department provided weekly pest control visits and treatments as precautionary measures, and these efforts were increased when we were notified of this current case. After our pest control visit last night, we do not have an infestation of bed bugs, but rather only an isolated case that is being handled with the utmost care. I can assure you that no bugs were found at OLE today. We appreciate your patience as we continue to do everything we can to provide a safe learning environment for our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the office.
