Good morning! Bus 7 and Bus 12 will be delayed approximately 20 minutes from their regular drop-off time every afternoon between now and Thanksgiving Break. We are still experiencing a shortage of bus drivers, but we also want to provide our families with a consistent schedule for their students rather than changing route times day by day. We will reevaluate these routes before Thanksgiving Break and provide an update at that time. If you have any interest in driving a bus for OTPS, please contact Jeff Cluck, Transportation Director, at (918) 443-6000, ext. 6087. Have a great Tuesday!

We are excited to welcome our Grandparents to OLE today! Our Facebook page has parking information. Today’s event has a staggered schedule to be able to accommodate all of the Grandparents who would like to attend. Times for each grade level are as follows: PreK-12:45, Kindergarten-1:15, and First Grade-1:45. Staff will be located at the front with sign-in sheets for grandparents. Grandparents can sign in 20 minutes before the doors open to that grade level (sign-in starts at PreK-12:25, Kindergarten-12:55, First-1:25). Students must have a note to sign out with their grandparents. We encourage cash or checks at the book fair. As always, thank you for your continued support!

As with any school year, we have stomach bugs, head colds, and other illnesses popping up at school. If your child is sick, we ask you to keep them home. We have had several students come to school first thing in the morning stating that they have thrown up, had diarrhea, or had other symptoms that morning. It is very important not to send them to school in these situations in order to help control the spread of germs. For further guidance with determining if your child is healthy enough to attend school that day, please visit our school website to review our student handbook. Thank you for helping keep our school healthy! https://core-docs.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/1044/OTPS/4685142/Copy_of_24-25_OUE_and_OLE_Handbook___4_.pdf

Goodies with Grandparents will be Friday, October 11, 2024. PreK will have snacks with their grandparents at 12:45 p.m., Kindergarten will have snacks with their grandparents at 1:15 p.m. and 1st grade will have snacks with their grandparents at 1:45 p.m. Due to limited space, we ask that only grandparents attend this event. After finishing snacks, students may visit the Book Fair with grandparents. If grandparents plan to check students out, they will sign students out with the teacher during snacks. We must have a permission slip signed and returned to allow students to check out with their grandparents. Please watch our Facebook page for parking information. We are looking forward to this special day!

Good afternoon! Earlier this afternoon we sent a message to the families of students who ride Bus 8 and Bus 12, but we are learning that not everyone received this message. Due to a bus driver shortage, Bus 8 is running approximately 20-25 minutes behind and Bus 12 is running approximately 45 minutes behind. We apologize if our original message did not reach every intended parent/guardian, and we will work to ensure this does not happen again. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

There will be no school for students on Friday, September 27! This is a Teacher Collaboration Day, and our teachers will be spending time meeting, learning from one another, and participating in professional development. This is a true day off for students, so no work will be assigned. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your patience as we have been dealing with congested traffic on campus. We know this has been an inconvenience for many families, and we have made a few small changes that have sped up the process for both drop off and pick up. We are also currently consulting with an architect to come up with a more permanent solution for our traffic challenges. We appreciate your understanding as we ensure that traffic moves safely around campus. Have a great day!

Good Morning OLE Family! Thank you for your patience as we work to make drop-off and pick-up more efficient and still maintain safety. Daily we are making improvements with time. It is very important that you DO NOT use the bus loop during this time for the safety of our students. Thank you for your continued support!

Drop-off and Pick-up procedures are very important to the safety of our students and staff. After picking up or dropping off your child, please do not use the bus loop to turn north on campus. This will impede our bus drop-off and pick-ups. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we begin another great year at Oologah-Talala Public Schools.

Good afternoon, Mustang Family! We had an amazing first day of school, and it was so wonderful to see all our students back on campus! We wanted to inform you that we have a new software program we will be utilizing for checking students out at all four sites. You will be required to scan your drivers license at the kiosk in each office in order to check your student out. This will help us ensure the safety and security of all our students. Thank you!
