The OTPS Handbook contains policies and procedures adopted by the Oologah-Talala Board of Education, along with regulations specific to Oologah Middle School and Oologah High School. All students are expected to be familiar with the contents of this handbook and are subject to the rules and policies established by the Board of Education, the Oklahoma State Department of Education, and the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA). These policies, procedures, and consequences will be applied with consistency, fairness, and flexibility. All staff members employed by the Oologah-Talala Board of Education are authorized to implement and enforce these policies.

Pledge of Allegiance
At Oologah High School, the Pledge of Allegiance is a daily, school-wide activity. As a matter of etiquette and school policy, students have one of three options during the Pledge: they may stand and recite the Pledge, stand and remain quiet, or remain seated and quiet. The Pledge of Allegiance is as follows: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Moment of Silence
It shall be the policy of the Board of Education that each school site shall follow the "Moment of Silence" law. The "Moment of Silence" law Senate Bill 815 states that each school shall observe approximately one minute of silence each day with the purpose of allowing each student to reflect, meditate, pray or engage in other silent activity.
