VALEDICTORIAN AND SALUTATORIAN (REGULATION)
The valedictorian of the graduating class will be chosen as the person with the highest grade point average for the student's freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior year. The grades are averaged at the end of the third nine weeks grading period, using the third nine weeks grade as the eighth semester grade.
The salutatorian of the graduating class shall be the graduating student having the second highest grade point average.
Grades for all seniors shall be averaged at the end of the last grading period before the end of the second semester. Class ranks will be figured according to these averages, then a final grade point and class rank will be figured at the end of the semester when all grades are recorded on the permanent record.
