The Oologah-Talala High School Jazz Band has established itself as a premier ensemble in Oklahoma, securing the Class 4A State Championship in 2022, 2024, and 2025. Under the expert direction of Mr. Smith and Mr. Matthews, the band has demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication.

Recent Achievements

  • 2022 State Championship: Their excellence was first recognized in 2022 when they won the Class 4A State Championship.

  • 2024 State Championship: In 2024, the Oologah Jazz Band continued its winning streak by securing the top spot in Class 4A.

  • 2025 State Championship: The band clinched the Class 4A State Championship at the OSSAA State Jazz Contest held on April 29–30, 2025, at the Reed Center.

Performance Highlights

One of their standout performances includes a rendition of "Summer Wind," showcasing their versatility and musicality.
