Oologah-Talala Public Schools – Late Work Policy
At Oologah High School, we are committed to creating a consistent and supportive learning environment for all students. To better support academic accountability and fairness, we are implementing a uniform late work policy across all subjects and departments.
Updated Late Work Policy
“Students who fail to submit an assignment by the due date and time will have an additional five (5) calendar days to turn in the assignment for a maximum of 50% credit.
For example, if an assignment is due on Monday during 1st hour, it may still be submitted until midnight on Friday of that same week for up to 50% credit.
After the five-day window, the assignment will receive a zero in the gradebook.”
This policy ensures that students are held accountable for deadlines while still offering a short grace period for partial credit. It also brings clarity and consistency to expectations across all classrooms.
⚠️ Note: This late work policy applies to assignments not submitted on time due to reasons other than excused absences.
Our existing make-up work policy for excused absences remains unchanged and can be found on page 7 of the Student Handbook.
